LETS GET CREATIVE ABOUT FINDING SOLUTIONS.

Aubrey rainbow, LCPAT, LCPC, LPC, ATR-BC

Hello! I’m Aubrey Rainbow, a licensed counselor and board certified art therapist.

At the core of my approach to therapy is a belief that everything you need is already inside of you.

 Here’s how I approach therapy

my guiding principles

CREATIVITY

In the busyness and pressures of everyday life, our creativity often gets buried beneath the weight of responsibilities. Yet, creativity isn't a skill we build—it's an innate part of who we are, waiting to be rediscovered. Just picture entering a room full of kindergarteners and asking who's an artist—every hand would shoot up! Somewhere along the way, we learned to be self-conscious, timid, or to take ourselves too seriously, causing us to lower our hand on the claim to our own creativity. My goal is to help you unlearn these inhibitions and rediscover the joy and freedom of self-expression.

AUTONOMY

I may know the ins and outs of mental health, but when it comes to your life, you're the expert.

My job is to help you figure out what matters most to you and where life is, and isn’t, aligning with those values. Therapy isn't about me dictating goals to you—it's about you knowing who you want to be and me challenging you and cheering you on every step of the way.

ACCOUNTABILITY

In therapy, accountability means that I am committed to working just as hard as you are towards your goals. You'll find that progress happens when about 80% of the work you’re doing happens outside of our sessions- when you're applying our discussions and your insights to everyday life. Similarly, I dedicate a large portion of my time outside sessions to review your progress, plan for our next meeting, prepare materials, and stay updated through continued education in my field.

INCLUSIVITY

At Viewpoint, I am committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. I celebrate diversity in all its forms, including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, body, and religion.

Discrimination and prejudice have no place here, and I actively work to promote understanding, acceptance, and equality for all (and am open to feedback if I mess it up).

Who I am outside of the office.

I often refer to myself as an outgoing introvert, valuing deep connections and needing time to myself afterwards to recharge.

I’m an artist, nature lover, and avid traveler, having visited over 35 countries.

Over the past decade, I've focused a lot of my free time on self defense and martial arts including kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Krav Maga.

When I'm not training or out exploring, you'll likely find me browsing farmers markets with my family, enjoying outdoor concerts, or in my garden with my dog.

I’m a Jane of all hobbies and master of none, accumulating books and starting projects I never quite finish.
